The last three years years have yielded below average tornado reports in the U.S., the average being 1260. Less than 900 tornadoes were reported in 2014 making it the lowest amount of tornadoes since we began attempting to jot them all down. Only 47 tornado related deaths occurred. Despite the low twister frequency, I was able to wrangle 22 tornadoes, most of them epic, photogenic and dramatic. The low death toll and my high tornado interception successes makes 2014 my best tornado season… by far! Here are the highlights… Hold on to your eyeballs!
