PECOS HANK

About Pecos Hank

A knack for wrangling tornadoes and charming rattlesnakes earned Hank Schyma the nickname “Pecos Hank” after Texas fake-lore legend Pecos Bill.  Hank witnessed his first tornado in 2002, the widest tornado ever documented in 2013, the fastest tornado ever documented in 2014 and is credited with the discovery of an upper atmospheric electrical discharge coined a green ghost.   Life as a devoted songwriter and musician, dove-tailed harmoniously with his pursuit of Mother Nature’s mysteries.  His cinematic voodoo rock-n-roll and surfy western twang echo the lonely roads he travels.

PECOS HANK'S MUSIC

When not chasing twisters and rattlers and what not, Hank performs in the mud, blood and beer of the live music club scene. 25 years of gigging and songwriting across America has paved the way for an eclectic discography heard worldwide on radio, TV and major motion pictures. Vintage tones leaning far to the dark side of roots, cinematic orchestration and surf guitar licks are the common threads weaved into many genres. Along with viola virtuoso Jo Bird and drummer / bassist Todd Sommer, the trio still performs on calm, dark nights. 90% of the music on the Pecos Hank YouTube channel was composed by Hank.
